Embroidered LBJ Silk Shirt owned by President Johnson while being the
President of the United States from 1963-1969. The shirt is silk,long
tailed, long sleeve with 2 button cuff.,it was made by Wm A Krome a tailor
in Los Angeles,California.It is recorded in the White House tapes of Johnson
having heated conversations with Wm Krome,on the phone about his clothes and
what and how Johnson wanted them made...This shirt is in great condition
being stored ,it has a small ,written initials on the poket in Johnsons
writting"LBJ"and the label reads "LBJ"with Wm A Krome as the maker,above it
all is the shirt size written inside the collar"16 1/2" A man in San
Antonio stopped at a Garage sale outside of Johnson City. It happened
to be the son of a Foreman from Johnsons Ranch who had items from his father
at the sale including the instruments from the "Lucy B",an airplane that was
owned by Johnson and crashed near his ranch in the 60's, it had been stored
at his foreman's barn all this time. |

Ros Kress Frame Haley
wore this Barry Goldwater 1964 hat and neck overlay at the 1964 Republican
National Convention in San Francisco. She was Rosalind Frame living in
Savannah, Ga. and later moved to West Texas and this came from her estate
there. She was a Texas Heiress born in New York and of the Georgian
Kress Family, ultimately becomming an heiress through the Kress Store
fortunes. She was the Third Cousin to Margaret Mitchell, author of
Gone With the Wind. She married Mr. Frame and later married
historian J. Evetts Haley and she was a player in world and national
politics. A friend of many past United States Presidents and
well-known Republican Party activist. Eagleforumarchives.org showcases
her life and works. She wrote her name inside the hat "Ros Frame,
Savannah, Georgia". The hat was made by Schwartz Hat Company of Los
Angeles, California, size medium it has the original yellow "Goldwater"
ribbon hat band and cinch strap. The royal blue felt fringed neck
overlay was worn by her as part of her ensemble. |

SET.
The Contemporary
Game Chess '72 by R.L.H Enterprises, New York.
Box 12.5" x 22" x 4.75" deep. Eyes on
pieces were painted for a magazine feature story. Playing pieces are
solid vinyl, one set with 8 elephant pawns in bronze, the other with 8
donkey pawns in silver. The remaining 16 pieces - 8 Republicans and 8
Democrats - represent people, such as John Erlichman, John Mitchell, and
Ted Kennedy. Nixon is the king in bronze; George McGovern the king in
silver (set was actually created before the Democratic convention
nominated McGovern).
