White House china plate.
Only 36 five-piece
place settings made by Franciscan Interpace were ordered for the White House
in 1966 during Lyndon B. Johnson's term in office. This fine china serviced
the West Wing/Oval Office as well as President Richard Nixon on board the
presidential aircraft Spirit of '76.
Featured in the
illustration of Franciscan Merced china line the inset reads: "Official
seal ofThe President of the United States is applied to Franciscan
Masterpiece China ordered recently for the White House. The order consisted
of 36 five-piece place settings plus assorted accessory pieces."

page it reads:
"...the fact that it was selected by two United States

1789 - 1989 PRESIDENTIAL BOWL
-- by Pickard was
issued by the United States Historical Society to commemorate the 200th
Anniversary of the United States Presidency. Outside shows all Presidents
from Washington to George H. W. Bush. The Certificate of Authenticity
verifies that this Presidential Bowl was fired within the edition limit of
5000. It comes in its original box. I have 2 of these.
