August 1, 1948 Vogue Magazine featuring a very young Yale student George Bush and his wife Barbara on the back cover advertising Bates Fabrics.  I (Ron Wade) spoke with President Bush about this ad and he remembered being paid a small amount for the ad.  Barbara's father owned McCall's magazine.     $100
